TARGET® INDY 500 CAR SUSPENDED FROM HIGH RISE!
ESG worked with Sapsis Rigging, Inc. to suspend a formula one race car from the 21st floor of the Indiana Square Building. ESG designed a custom steel frame that was installed on the 21st floor to both lift and attach the car to the building and a custom aluminum truss frame was designed to support a stunt team from the roof of the building (the 38th floor). Both frames were designed to meet all provisions of the International Building Code, including 90 mph wind speeds. ESG analyzed, designed and detailed the building structure and all of the custom frames for 14 different possible load scenarios.
